Veterinary Technician
My passion for animals is what led me into the veterinary field. I worked alongside many brilliant minds in the industry through SPC’s Veterinary Nursing Program and had a hand in saving hundreds of animals’ lives by taking them from the local shelters. We got them healthy, rehabilitated them, and then found them new homes all while teaching the next generation of veterinary medicine professionals. I’m most passionate about preventative care and education. I firmly believe that information should be easily accessible so all pet owner’s are able to make educated decisions on their pet’s health and wellbeing. I have a lot of knowledge and practice handling many species including, but not limited to: dogs, cats, small mammal exotics (such as rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, etc.), birds, and a few species of reptiles. I’m also trained in dog and cat behavior and fear-free handling. I’m quite crafty by nature and my personal preference in needlework. My family is steadily growing but I currently have a dog named Sally-Mae and two guinea pigs named after constellations, Andromeda and Coma Berenices (Berry for short).
